Busking in Melbourne - Times They are a Changin'

Melbourne buskers have been left divided as they will have to face public auditions in order to play in the most popular areas of the city, including Bourke Street Mall, as a new audition system is launched. The Melbourne Council have begun to implement their overhaul of busking permit distribution in the CBD. These regulations include making those who perform in ‘premium’ locations re-audition to hold their permit now and then regularly in the future.
